This summer I decided to put all my financial goals on hold just to enjoy the time that I had to spend with the family. This doesn’t mean that I went crazy and bought stuff just because I could, it was more about taking time off work and not really looking at the market.
I was confident enough that the stocks I owned would not go anywhere, rather they would keep chugging along paying me ever increasing dividends regardless of my effort or attention.
Looking at my portfolio, I broke many records – I will have 3 updates going over it soon. But for today, I’m just getting settled back into the swing of things so I decided I would do a post of some of my summer.
Heres Some Pictures of Summer
I have one last trip I’m going on for the August long weekend before the kids head back to school.
I plan to start grinding it out hard starting the next week with many new plans for 2018!
Thanks for sharing Steve! Really looks like you made the most of it. I took a similar approach to life this summer and had a ton of fun in the process. I’m also feeling refreshed to get busy this fall. Enjoy the last long weekend of the season! Jay recently posted…How Much Money Do You Need to Trade for a Living?
It felt so nice to sit back and not think about anything financial and just focus on having a great time with my family. I still worked during the summer but not the normal crazy amount that I’ve grown accustomed to.
Looks like a great summer. Welcome back!

Jay, I needed a break to be honest.

I plan to take the whole next summer off!
